Angela Wright RAD RTS, AISTD Cecchetti Ballet, AISTD Modern Theatre
Level 2 PBT Certification (Progressing Ballet Technique)

Miss Wright started her training at the Bristol School of Dancing and the Bristol Stage School. Here she took part in numerous shows at the Hippodrome and Redgrave Theatre working with The English National Ballet Company, European Ballet Company, and performed in many Christmas Pantomimes.

She was a soloist with the Bristol Youth Ballet Company, playing leading roles in ‘Cinderella’, ‘The Nutcracker’, ‘The Spanish Wedding’ and ‘Cardboard City’.

Her training progressed at the Central School of Ballet on the Pre-Seniors course followed by two years at the Arts Educational School, Tring Park, where she gained both performance and technical experience, teaching qualifications in ballet and modern dance, and was a finalist in the prestigious end of year ‘Cup’ Competitions.

Post graduation followed a few years of performing in small touring shows around the UK and Europe. Followed by five years in London’s West End working on shows such as Mary Poppins, Dirty Dancing and some Gala performances. After that, moving back to her home town of Bristol she settled down to study with the Royal Academy of Dance and two years later graduated with the Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies, whilst teaching - at one of Bristols most prestigious dance schools - children from 2½ years up to Advanced 2 level.

Having moved away from Bristol Miss Wright opened Coopers Edge Ballet School in September 2012 in the wonderful dance facilities at Coopers Edge School. Since then she has also opened branches in Churchdown in January 2016 and most recently at the Gloucestershire International School in May 2017.

Miss Wright has recently qualified and am a licensed PBT (Progressing Ballet Technique) instructor, and I’m really enjoying bringing this wonderful new way of working into CEBS.

Alongside CEBS she is part of the Royal Academy of Dance Classical Ballet Faculty teaching ballet to children and adults across the UK. She is very happy to be part of the team teaching Classical ballet and PBT for MIDAS.
